Entertainment center and end tables with exposed birch plywood end-grain slats. The end tables and entertainment center are constructed out of 3/8" wide plywood slats stained. Compiled using thousands of table saw cuts, because of the lack of structural integrity with using end-grain, each slat is doweled into the vertical support. As a project started in 2004, it took nearly 8 years to reconstruct using the dowel method. During this time the entertainment center was modified to accommodate an HDTV.
